Diversity Initiatives in the Workplace The term Diversity can be used to define the uniqueness of each individual in a population. Today, many employers and organizations strive to be representative of such diversity whether it be through Employment Equity or a program developed within their own business or organization. Being representative of diversity is not preferential treatment but a means to strive for understanding and corresponding to individual learning and cultural differences.
